The founding team of Volition Capital was part of Fidelity Ventures until 2010. The partners of Volition Capital previously led the U.S. operations of Fidelity Ventures. Under a sub-advisory agreement, Volition Capital manages the existing U.S. portfolio of Fidelity Ventures as of the time of the spinout. Volition Capital will continue to partner with Fidelity Growth Partners Europe, the European venture investment arm of Fidelity International, to jointly manage six European portfolio companies. Collectively, this amounts to 26 portfolio companies and approximately $400 million invested in them.
