Bill grew up in Weston, Massachusetts where he was a multi-sport athlete. Bill’s interest in technology developed in high school when he began writing websites and selling items on eBay. His interest continued when he attended Boston College, where he successfully wrote an iPhone app, which used various memory tests to determine whether athletes had suffered a concussion.
As an undergrad at BC, Bill majored in economics and minored in computer science. Bill was also a member of the entrepreneur society and the varsity football team. Joining the team as a walk-on during his freshman year, Bill eventually worked his way into the two-deep as a defensive end and earned himself a scholarship, which allowed him to stay for a fifth year and obtain a Master’s degree in finance. Bill remains an avid college football fan and attends all the home games at his alma mater.
After completing his M.S.F. in 2011, Bill joined the technology practice at Canaccord Genuity, focusing on M&A transactions and capital raises for software and internet companies. During his time at Canaccord Bill developed a broad understanding of the technology space, working with companies such as Demandware, BlackBerry and Zillow.
In his free time, Bill is involved with a number of charitable organizations. He is the Founder of the Boston Chapter of the National Canine Cancer Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness and funding for canine cancer research. Bill is also heavily involved with a number of young adult groups at his church in South Boston. When he is able to relax, Bill enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his friends and family. On most summer weekends he can be found at his family’s second home on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.
