Born in Arizona and raised on the East Coast, Brad is eager to help exciting technology companies from anywhere in between realize their full growth potential.
An early interest in the sciences led Brad to attend a science and technology magnet high school outside Washington, D.C., where he learned to wed his inner nerd-dom to other passions like sports and community involvement.
"My high school's unofficial live mascot was a graphing calculator, which was particularly infuriating for the football opponents we beat on the way to the state playoffs my senior year."
After trying his hand at computer science as a student, Brad found this subject would be better left to the professionals, and set off for Notre Dame to study business. While in South Bend, and subsequently during an internship at North Bridge Growth Equity, Brad discovered his passion for technology investing. This allowed him to address his long-held interest in technology from an analytical perspective. After two years in investment banking post-college, Brad found his way full-time into the growth equity world as an associate at TCV.
"A mentor early in my career once told me growth equity meant you were in the business of hiring people (not firing), and disrupting (not defending). This is why growth investing is the most exciting segment of the market, and ultimately the most rewarding."
While at TCV, Brad worked closely with Volition due to a mutual investment in iPipeline, and joined the Volition team at the begining of 2015.
"The Capital+ mindset is a differentiator in this industry, and Volition's commitment to that concept will serve both the firm and its portfolio companies well in the long run."
