Susie grew up in the Boston area and is happy to have found her way back after a decade away. She went to Georgetown University to study Finance and Accounting based mainly on her love of math and problem solving. Luckily for Susie this path worked out as her Accounting classes were her favorite classes in college and she was selected to join several related student activities such as the Georgetown Credit Union, a student-run bank, and the Georgetown University Student Investment Fund. Susie also was on the Georgetown dance team and got to perform at Georgetown basketball games. Both her in-class experience as well as her time in these student organizations led Susie to pursue a career on Wall Street during the fall of 2008, which wasn’t stressful at all.
Susie joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch full-time after college after interning there the prior summer. She worked as a trader on the equity derivative trading desk for 5 years and has a lot of great memories and stories from her time there. After BAML, Susie joined Putnam Investments on the equity research team and was responsible for covering consumer companies. This is when Susie first realized how much fun it can be investing in the consumer sector and evaluating companies that sell and make products that she uses and sees daily. After-all, Susie has always been an avid consumer, so it was a natural fit from the beginning.
Susie later joined Yellow Wood Partners, a consumer-focused private equity firm and continued her focus on investing in brands and consumer companies. At Yellow Wood Partners, Susie was able to gain experience working with brands and companies across the consumer sector to evolve their businesses and drive growth and profitability.
In her spare time Susie enjoys running, fitness classes, travel, and being outdoors as much as possible.
