Zac grew up in Needham, MA and attended Needham High School where he was the captain of the wrestling team, a defensive back on the football team, and President of the NHS Entrepreneur Club. Outside of the classroom, Zac pursued his early passion for entrepreneurship, starting his own landscaping and odd jobs business.
Following his time at Needham High, Zac went on to attend Cornell University where he received a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations, with minors in Business and Philosophy. While attending Cornell, Zac also worked for Student Agencies Inc. Zac’s first position at SAI was as the General Manager of Hired Hands Moving Company, one of seven companies in the SAI Portfolio. As GM, Zac executed on a business plan that ultimately enabled his business to double revenue and improve EBITDA margins by 1500 bps.
After his successful term as a GM, Zac stayed on as Director of Strategy for Student Agencies. In this role, Zac helped to lay the ground work and ultimately launch a de novo SAI business and sourced and provided diligence on inorganic growth opportunities. Additionally, while serving as Director of Strategy, Zac had the opportunity to collaborate with the talented entrepreneurs who were working in close quarters with Student Agencies in the newly built Cornell eHub facility.
In the summer following his junior year, Zac interned at Audax Private Equity. At Audax, Zac worked on a high volume of buyout deals and gained exposure to the practice of investing. It was during his internship that Zac began to realize how much he enjoyed the challenge, hard work, and critical thinking that went into investing. However, Zac missed the excitement of working with founders who shared his passion for entrepreneurship. Consequently, Zac is thrilled to be in a position where he will work alongside and learn from a talented group of investors supporting entrepreneurs who have aspirations and visions for the future.
