Meet Michael Giannetto
PRIOR EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Michael Giannetto is currently a Senior Advisor for Volition Capital. Formerly, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Sonos. Before Sonos, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Vistaprint N.V., an online provider of business and consumer printing products and services. He also served as the Senior Vice President of Finance of Vistaprint. Before Vistaprint, Michael served in various financial leadership roles at ePresence, Inc., EMC Corporation, and Data General Corporation.
Michael holds a B.S. in accounting from Bentley University and an M.B.A. from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
FUN FACTS ABOUT MICHAEL
- Mike’s work at Sonos was a dream job. Why? Because he has been a music lover and audiophile since he was a kid. From the first notes of the Beatles, he heard as a child to rock to jazz and so on, music is his artistic passion. He even has a dedicated room in his house for his stereo and music collection; it’s his special place. He also attempts to play music but only enjoys “playing.”
- In the winter months, Mike doesn’t miss a Bruins game on TV or in person. Luckily for him, it became a family passion, so he was always able to watch with his three kids as they grew up. The family even named one of their dogs Bruin.
- Mike and his family spend a lot of time in New Hampshire enjoying the beautiful nature of the lakes and mountains. It’s become their second home over the last 15 years.
- Mike’s always had a dog in his life. His current dog is an Australian Shepherd with boundless energy and likes nothing better than trying to herd moving things. Bodhi (short for Bodhisattva) requires a lot of exercise and training; he is the family baby who gets lots of attention.
