Sam Procter joined Volition Capital in 2026 as a Senior Associate.
Prior Experience & Education
- Sam previously worked as a product manager at Equilibrium Energy, an energy & grid tech startup, and spent four years investing at Sapphire Ventures, an expansion stage VC based in Silicon Valley. He began his career as an investment banking analyst at Qatalyst Partners in San Francisco.
- Sam graduated with distinction from Amherst College with a BA in Computer Science and History and was a co-captain of the varsity golf team.
Fun Facts About Sam Procter
- Prior to joining Volition, Sam lived in San Francisco for more than eight years, fostering his appreciation for adventure and the outdoors. Some of his favorite Northern California adventures include backpacking through the Sierra Nevada, completing a century along the North Coast, running the famed Dipsea Race and mountain biking through the Redwoods with his fiancé.
- Sam is originally from the Boston suburbs and never faltered in his hometown sports fandom while in the Bay Area.
- In his free time, Sam enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family, exploring Boston’s neighborhoods, and nursing his budding interest in bonsai.
