Grove was founded in 2012 to pursue an emerging but significant opportunity in sustainable, environmentally friendly household essential products. The company originally started as an e-commerce site selling third-party brands but later established its own line of Grove-owned brands across all of its product categories. After a decade of rapid growth, Grove launched nationwide across Target and other major retailers. In June 2022, Grove Collaborative went public on the New York Stock Exchange.

Through Volition’s sustainability thesis, we have closely tracked Grove from its formative years as it grew into its leading position empowering customers through environmentally friendly household products.
